Sarabande, Alexander McQueen S/S 2007

“Remember Sam Taylor-Wood’s dying fruit? Things rot. I used flowers because they die. My mood was darkly romantic at the time.”

This particular dress was completely embroidered with silk and fresh flowers, which were put on just minutes before the show. As model Tanya Dziahileva walked out for the finalé, the flowers fell off of the dress and onto the stage.
